Great Wakering village is the gateway to Foulness Island, a no-go military establishment. Its is also the driest place in England! This walk leaves the village and crosses land to the sea wall and then heads along the wall by the creek round Mill Head to Fleet Head in a circular back across the fens.

This lovely three village walk goes by St Peter's Way to the outskirts of Bicknacre, through the woods to Woodham Ferrers and then over the magnificent hills back to East Hanningfield.

Sugar Loaf, sometimes called The Sugar Loaf is a mountain situated 2 miles (3.2 km) north-west of Abergavenny. The view from the summit covers the Black Mountains to the north, the Cotswolds to the east, as far as the Brecon Beacons including Pen y Fan and Corn Du to the west and the Bristol Channel to the south.

The crannog in Llangorse Lake is thought to be the ancient seat of the kings of the kingdom of Brycheiniog. This walk circumnavigates the lake before an ascent offers striking views of the lake and the Brecon Beacons.
