A two week expedition to Ladakh in north west India to climb the highest mountain in the Zanskar Range - Stok Kangri 6153m.

Trek across the Matho La (4965m), with views of Stok Kangri, to Smankarmo (4380m).

The hike back out from Base Camp down to Stok Village. The prettiest day of trekking on the entire route.

An acclimatisation climb from Base Camp to a nearby col which was actually the start of the main route to the summit. Used as a precursor to the summit attempt to familiarise ourselves with the route.

The Big One! - The push for the summit from Base Camp with an Alpine start and a 7-8 hour climb to the summit. Descent back to Base Camp.

With Stok Kangri in view for the entire duration of the trek up the valley we move from a dusty Camp 4 at Mankarmo up to the even rockier and dustier Base Camp at approx 5000m.
